Building an application from scratch is a challenging yet rewarding endeavour. As a relatively inexperienced software developer, I was presented with the opportunity to build the front end of an application called FleetTribego. It was a product that aimed to provide comprehensive breakdown recovery solutions for the haulage industry. Excited about the idea and eager to prove myself, I took on the challenge, not fully realizing the rollercoaster ride that awaited me.

In the beginning, I found myself working long hours, often well into the night, as I navigated through the complexities of front-end development. Doubts and insecurities crept in as I faced technical obstacles that seemed insurmountable. It was during these moments of uncertainty that I leaned on the support and encouragement of my friends, Yvonne Irenroa and Imole Adebanjo. They constantly reminded me of my capabilities and encouraged me to push through the challenges.

Throughout this journey, the product manager, Mr. Babatunde Adewuyi, played a significant role in supporting me. He recognized my efforts and assured me that I was doing my best. Having a supportive manager who believed in me made a world of difference in my confidence and motivation.

Despite my relentless efforts, I reached a point where I realized that my limited experience was hindering the progress of the product. It was a difficult decision, but I suggested bringing in a more experienced developer to ensure the successful completion of FleetTribego. I couldn't help but feel a sense of failure, thinking that I had not been able to deliver what was expected of me.

However, to my surprise and relief, the management expressed their desire for me to remain part of the team. They recognized my dedication and valued my contributions to the product. This moment marked the beginning of a new phase in my journey—a period of growth and learning.

Mr Ibrahim Adebiyi, a senior developer joined the team. From the first interaction, Ibrahim displayed exceptional professionalism and a genuine willingness to help. He commended me for my efforts and acknowledged the progress I had made. Ibrahim took me under his wing, patiently explaining concepts, sharing problem-solving techniques, and guiding me through the intricacies of frontend development. He made my life as a developer easier by providing valuable insights and fostering a collaborative environment within the team.

Ibrahim's mentorship proved to be transformative. With his guidance, I gained confidence and honed my skills. Together with the backend engineer, Uko Akanowo, we worked as a cohesive unit, leveraging our strengths to propel the development of FleetTribego forward. Ibrahim's mentorship was a defining experience in my engineering career, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Fast forward to the 27th of May, 2023, the day FleetTribego was officially launched. It was the culmination of months of hard work, perseverance, and growth. The application we built aimed to revolutionize the haulage industry by providing comprehensive breakdown recovery solutions.

FleetTribego connects businesses with expert service providers, offering real-time tracking, updates, and seamless resolution of breakdown incidents. Its user-friendly interface empowers businesses to monitor the progress of breakdown incidents and make informed decisions to minimize operational disruptions. By facilitating collaboration between businesses and service providers, FleetTribego ensures prompt assistance and enhances the overall efficiency of the haulage industry.

In conclusion, my experience building FleetTribego has been a transformative journey. It taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of seeking support from others, and the benefits of learning from experienced mentors like Ibrahim. While my initial doubts and insecurities threatened to overshadow my progress, the support and belief of my friends, the guidance of Mr. Tunde, and the mentorship of Ibrahim propelled me forward.
